The Wildschönau is one of the top addresses in Austria for paragliding. The high valley is shielded from strong winds and, thanks to the favourable weather conditions, offers ideal conditions for unforgettable flying experiences around 300 days a year. Our Aparthotel in Niederau is not far from the Markbachjochbahn cable car, which takes you to the launch site. And right next to our accommodation is the meadow that serves as a landing site for paragliding. The perfect conditions for spending a wonderful time in Austria and gathering unique impressions as you soar into the valley. If you don’t have a flying licence yourself, you can also book a tandem flight at a local flying school. The experienced pilots look forward to showing you the fascinating landscape and quaint places from a bird’s eye view.

The Drachental Family Park in Wildschönau in Oberau makes children’s hearts beat faster on vacation. During the vacation program at the Drachen Club, children can playfully discover nature and the surrounding area. The large adventure playground offers plenty of space to run around, hide and seek and let off steam. The rapid descent with the Drachenflitzer or the world’s most modern summer toboggan run are great fun.
